If you’ve driven through Arcola, attended an event, stayed overnight, or watched new construction take shape, chances are you’ve seen Green Mill Village growing.

But Green Mill Village is much more than a collection of buildings. The 65-acre development was created with a larger vision in mind: bringing together hospitality, housing, business, tourism, and community growth in one connected destination.

Here are a few things you may not know about Green Mill Village.

1. Green Mill Village Spans Approximately 65 Acres

Green Mill Village was designed with room to grow. The approximately 65-acre development provides space for hospitality, residential development, senior living, businesses, events, and future opportunities.

Rather than focusing on one single project, the vision has always been about creating a development where each new addition can help strengthen the others.

2. You Can Stay Right Here in Arcola

Green Mill Village is home to the Green Mill Village Hotel & Suites, a Best Western Signature Collection hotel featuring 68 guest rooms.

The hotel gives visitors a convenient place to stay while exploring Arcola, attending local festivals and events, visiting family, or discovering attractions throughout the surrounding area.

It also means more visitors have the opportunity to turn a day trip into an overnight getaway.

3. Green Mill Village Is Growing as a Residential Community

Green Mill Village isn’t only a place to visit — it is becoming a place more people can call home.

New residential development continues to add housing opportunities to the property, helping support Arcola’s growing workforce while creating additional options for individuals and families who want to live within the community.

4. Senior Living Is Part of the Village, Too

The Carriages Senior Living is another important part of Green Mill Village.

Having senior living incorporated into the larger development helps create something increasingly important for communities: opportunities for people to remain close to family, familiar places, local businesses, and the community they know.

It is another example of how Green Mill Village was designed to serve people through different stages of life.

5. Tourism Plays a Big Role in the Bigger Picture

Arcola already gives visitors plenty of reasons to come to town — from the Arcola Broomcorn Festival and Illinois Amish Heritage Center to nearby attractions, shopping, dining, and unique local experiences.

Green Mill Village helps support that tourism economy by giving visitors a place to stay, gather, and make Arcola part of a larger weekend experience.

Every additional overnight visitor has the potential to support more restaurants, stores, attractions, events, and businesses throughout the community.

6. Growth at Green Mill Village Helps Create Growth Beyond the Property

One of the most exciting parts of development is the ripple effect.

New housing can support workforce growth. More residents can support local businesses. Hotel guests can become restaurant and retail customers. Events can introduce new visitors to the community. New businesses can create additional jobs and opportunities.

That connection is what makes Green Mill Village more than a traditional development.

7. There Is Still More to Come

Perhaps the biggest thing to know about Green Mill Village is that the story is still being written.

Each new project adds another piece to a long-term vision for a destination that connects people, businesses, visitors, and surrounding communities.

As Arcola continues to grow, Green Mill Village is growing right along with it — creating new reasons to visit, new opportunities to live and work, and new possibilities for what comes next.

Discover Green Mill Village

Whether you are coming to Arcola for the weekend, looking for a place to call home, exploring business opportunities, or simply curious about everything happening on the south side of town, there is more to Green Mill Village than you might realize.

And there is plenty more still ahead.
